The French Embassy in Washington DC organized Monday January, 8 its traditional “Moment français” on the sidelines of the 97th Transportation Research Board (TRB) Annual Meeting.
The TRB annual meeting is held in Washington DC January 7-11, 2018. It is the largest international gathering of Transportation community, with some 13000 transportation professionals, and more than 5000 presentations and 800 sessions and workshops, dealing with all transportation modes and addressing topics of interest to different kind of stakeholders: policy makers, administrations and representatives of governments, researchers, industry, academics…
The French delegation was composed among others of representatives of Ministry for Ecological and Inclusive Transition (Directorate General for Infrastructures, Transportation and the Sea), IFSTTAR (the French Institute of science and technology for transport, development and networks), CEREMA (the National Center for Studies and Expertise on Risks, Environment, Mobility, and Urban and Country Planning), and representatives of French companies.
This convivial moment was a great opportunity to exchange on Transportation topic issues, both in the United States and in France, with in particular a presentation by the Ministry for Ecological and Inclusive Transition on the conclusions of the French National Conference on Mobilities, and the French national autonomous and connected vehicles strategy.
IFSTTAR and CEREMA presented their numerous engagements on international research programs and scientific committees, in particular in the United States, drawing up a prospect of cooperations between France and the United States.
