David Krembel is Counselor for Ecology, Energy and Climate Change of the Economic and Treasury Department at the French Embassy in the U.S. since September 2016. Prior to that, he joined in 2013 the General Secretariat of the national debate on the energy transition, before becoming head of the gas infrastructure unit of the Directorate General for Energy and Climate within France’s Ministry of the Environment, Energy and the Sea. He was appointed at the Corps des Mines in 2012. Previously, he held various positions at the French Nuclear Safety Authority (ASN). He began his career at the French-German Research Institute for Defense, and then as Head of a regional unit at the Directorate for the Research, Industry and Environment of Alsace. David graduated from Mines de Douai and received a degree of advanced studies in macromolecular chemistry from the University of Lille.
